Langkah-langkah kecil itu hadir di tengah-tengah kami. Dengan lilin di genggamannya, mereka menari dan berformasi seiring hentakan musik tradisional India. Keindahan nan eksotis pun merebak. Sekilas tak ada yang aneh dari delapan penari cilik itu. Aku tak menyangka bahwa tak ada satu pun dari mereka yang bisa melihat. Mereka adalah anak-anak penyandang tuna netra yang dibina oleh Ramana Maharishi Academy for The Blind yang diundang untuk menari dalam perhelatan konferensi AMARC Regional Asia Pasifik II di Bangalore, India. Rasa kagum dan haru pun membuncah. Menjadi buta bukan penghalang bagi mereka untuk berkarya. Naluri yang kuat telah menyempurnakan panca indera yang ada. Walau tak bisa melihat segala keindahan di dunia, mereka tetap bisa menciptakan keindahan bagi yang memandangnya. Sungguh Tuhan maha adil. They came into the middle of us. Holding the candles, they were dancing and lining up according to their traditional music. In an instant, the exotic beauty was spread. Glance there was nothing odd about these eight little dancers. I was unbelievable that none of them could see. They were the blind children that educated by Ramana Maharishi Academy for The Blind that was invited to the opening of Asia Pacific AMARC 2nd Regional Conference in Bangalore, India. Soon i felt the sense of amazed and compassion. Being blind is not a barrier for them to create something. Strong instict has perfected their existing senses.
